Well folks, i’m sorry to say that the corrupt city council is at it again. Kind of reminds me of January 2001, when the wife made me take all my camouflage netting off the pig pens (truffle hunters not for consumption) and chicken coop. Y2k never did materialize, and we all had to go back to business as normal, ho hum….. Any hew, the corrupt city council is at it again. They have blocked local yoga guru Jerry Lee Jenson’s building permits for the Ye Olden Yoga Studio and Raw Juice Bar. Seems like city council member Terry Perry has something against Jerry. Maybe its Terry’s connection to the meat industry, or has something to do with the old ex wife taking those late night yoga classes? Any hew, Terry and the deep state are going to have to try harder to stop progress in our tight nit community. Fucking 5G antenna next door killing all the woodpeckers, city council just puts more up, black helicopters all the live long day! Anyways, I urge you to sign our petition to expedite the permit process for the Yoga studio/ Juice Bar, and go right ahead and sign a second petition to ban vapeing at the Rulo Library.
God bless,
Jim

Literature
Just finished this one, it was a short but informative read on garden design. Fellow Nebraskan Benjamin Vogt spearheads the native gardening movement with this how to book full of everything you need to get your prairie inspired garden started. This book covers planting native’s by seed and by plugs. The book also gives useful tips on making your garden look intentional, and dealing with pesky HOA’s and the your city’s weed patrol. Ordered mine off of amazon because I live in the middle of nowhere!

Poetry/Fashion
I really dig Robert Bly’s poetry and fashion sense. His book Iron John really helped me understand my feelings, and realized I don’t have to be macho 24/7. I can leave that John Wayne shit to my good buddy Gary! Any hew, just cause i’m a soy boy who wears scarves don’t mean I ain’t rough and tough when needed. Godbless ya Robert and your “Men’s Movement”.

Technology
This guy is next level, HQ is just over the river in Missouri. Have not heard much from them in a while, checked their website and they are still hard at it. With the advent of computer systems installed in all of our vehicles, and farm equipment, it makes it virtually impossible to repair on your own. Often forces dependence on the manufacture for any repair to take place. That’s why a lot of old farmers keep their old equipment. Just makes to much sense.

I took this photo while camping out during the winter with Unachi (RIP) at Dead Timber recreation area few years back. It was quiet and calm. The water looked flat like a mirror.

Music
Hoot dang this album was good!
Big Thief’s “ Dragon New Warm Mountain I Believe in You”.
Fucking genre bending, experimental, wonderful piece of art! Here’s a tune just perfect for the back deck a cold PBR, and a tasty veggie pizza!

“Windmills turn and turn eternally
What do you yearn for, where do you long to be?
I've been here before, looking at the wild country

That's my grandma!”
My nephew Jeremiah’s got himself a little rock and roll group going over there in Falls City. He has been begging me to promote their new tune, and I know they have been practicing real hard in the garage. So like I promised here it is “Waba Dee” by Them Falls City Boyz………
I like this painting by George Inness, looks like my neighbors place down the road this morning. Pretty fucking bleak, but good in its own way. Tell ya that much for sure!
Ecology
I know Lex likes to have some power hungry psychopaths on his podcast from time to time (Musk, Zuckerburg, Netanyahu, Kanye, Bezos) but sometimes he invites a real rough and tough solid dude who fights for the common good. Paul Rosolie is a conservationist and author who has dedicated his life to the preservation of the Amazon Rainforest, and other ecosystems around the world. He even agreed to be eaten by an Anaconda on network T.V. to further the cause!
Free Radio Rulo!
Rigged up an olde diesel generator to an old ham radio antenna on top of an ole Wonder Bread truck, I got down at Gary’s salvage yard. Thanks Gary! Updated to windows 7, plugged in my 10 disc cd player via aux cord, and started operating. Any hew, now our little station reaches all of Rulo, and half of Falls City! Tune in and take a listen below!
Letters to the editor
Subject: Jerry Lee Jenson’s new age bullshit not welcome in Rulo.
Dear Editor,
Jerry Lee Jenson is a known charlatan and con man. Rulo is a strong Christian community and has no room for the likes of Jerry and his group of wackados.
Sincerely, Mary Williams (Organist at the Rulo Methodist Church)
Subject: Ye Olden Red Brick Inn’s Weekend Dinner Special
Ah, what an absolute delight it was to dine at Rulo’s Ye Olden Red Brick Inn! The catfish dinner they served was a symphony of flavors that danced upon the palate with each tantalizing bite. The crisp, golden coat encapsulating the tender catfish fillet was a testament to culinary mastery—a perfect harmony of textures and tastes that left me utterly enchanted.
Accompanying this culinary marvel was none other than the refreshing Coors Light, a beverage that lent a touch of effervescent elegance to the meal. Its crisp, clean taste complemented the savory richness of the catfish impeccably, creating a pairing that was simply sublime.
Sincerely,
Bernard Franswa Dubois
Subject: Shame on the City Council .
Dear Editor,
Jerry Lee Jenson III, a yoga instructor with a passion for holistic healing, has been quietly transforming lives through a unique approach that combines yoga practice with the healing power of raw juice for individuals battling fibromyalgia.
The recent smear campaign initiated by my ex-husband city councilor Terry Perry against guru Jerry Lee Jenson III, is nothing but shameful. As a resident invested in our community's well-being, I find it distressing to witness such malicious attacks targeting an individual dedicated to holistic health and wellness.
With Love and Namaste,
Tami Perry
Subject: Library’s are for reading not vapeing!
Hey Editor,
I'm a bit confused about all the hub bub about banning vaping at the Rulo Library. Some folks are saying we should stop vaping there but at the same time, they're cool with new vape shops popping up all over town. With the library being all high-tech with its 5G, can vaping mess with the digital stuff? Or maybe it makes the vaping even cooler? I don't know. If you want to vape, smoke or toke, you should do it at the Falls City Pizza Hut.
Sincerely,
Randy Larry Kirkland Jr.
ahhh, pirate radio. I was so happy when I caught a pirate FM station during my two years of working in Boulder, CO...
anyway, to the point. saw the open source ecology video link, went "ugh, video," but like that sort of thing enough that I immediately went to it, dug out the link to go to the actual website, bookmarked it, came back here; then noticed just a tiny bit further down the page that you are one of the few folks to actually link the text-and-pictures source instead of just ViDeO🤪
gods but I hate tech info when presented only in video form. and I totally LOVE usable tech info.
thanks.
well howdy b.jim, before i go into my 'resume' (as i did several kinds of shows at various times) and few different stations) i have a great idea... being the cross-pollinator personality i am; part one of g.idea; if you can, tune-in to 'tommy's holiday camp' hosted by 'arnoldo el supremo'....funny name for a brit eh? and it airs TONIGHT at 7pmPST by the way. https://kows92-5.org/kows-shows/show/tommys-holiday-camp/
part two: arnold is an old friend of mine and an actual pirate radio d.j. from back in the BBC day in the UK and has even written a book on his adventures in that era entitled 'banned by the BBC!' subtitled 'how i became a radio pirate'. anyways i can contact arnold if you listen in and think you might be interest in confabing. i'll forward him your stack here...and we'll see what happens. i'd also highly recommend going to the KOWS (sebastopol, ca) site and checking out teresa tudury's show, 'live from the double-wide'. she is also a friend, plays great music and is a HOOT.
